In July of 2008, ten very different dachshund owners from around the world united to share their stories of being a slave to the dachshund.

From clearing up nasty preconceived notions about the small but mighty dachshund breed, to letting you learn from their mistakes, these contributors put the spotlight on what caring for a dog is really like. They adopted new dachshunds, said goodbye to old dachshunds, had babies, moved across the country, changed jobs, changed houses, all the while shadowed by their short-legged best friends.
