Who's YOUR dachshund?

Well hello there, long-lost blog friends!

It sure has been a while and while I could easily make this an 'I'm sorry for not posting' post, I'm going to switch it up by focusing on what's up ahead for everyone's favourite dachshund blog. That's right. Change is gonna come and you're all about to get your very first taste!

As of right now - yes! RIGHT now! - you can consider Who's Your Dachshund your very own personal outlet for all the dachshund delights and dramas in your life. While obviously all of the official contributors have had a blast sharing our stories with you, it makes sense to blow things wide open so that we can hear more from YOU.

How? Easy! You see that 'Guest Post' link up in the top-right of the blog? Whenever you have a dachshund story that you'd like to see up on WYD, give that link the ole clickaroo and fill out the form. Your post then comes to me, I give it a quick read, email you to touch base, and then bam - it's published!

Submitting a guest post is a great way to get advice from a strong community of dog owners, to get some exposure for your own blogs and Twitter accounts (we're happy to include links in your bio), and even to build out your personal writing portfolio. Plus...well...it's kinda fun!

Why the change? Well, to me at least, the next evolution of the site really comes down to showcasing the incredible dogs and dog owners out there in our community. While it's all well and good for you to hear from a handful of us, I think it's going to be absolutely wonderful to get so many different perspectives and hear so many different experiences with our favourite little dogs.

And don't worry–I'll still be chiming in plenty so you'll still be able to get your Calvin and Theo fix!

Questions? Comments? Concerns?

Can't wait to see those posts coming in!

[Edit: This news goes for our Flickr group too! It's now open for the joining so be sure to share those gorgeous dachshund pics that you want to see on our slideshow!]

I love it! The one thing I really liked about WYD was the variety in the posts - it will be neat to see what cool stuff dachshunds all over the world are up to now.

I 100% agree with you! It's really the diversity that makes this site come alive so I'm sure it will only get better now that we've made it easier for everyone (yourselves included) to contribute!

Can't wait to stay up to date on all things Ammo!

I'm super excited to see all the guest posts - I rely on your blog for my doxie fix since I'm not currently in a position to have a dog.
