This is Billie Bumbler, My darling dapple dachshund's first summer on this earth. She was born at the end of October and didn't see the warm sun shine until she was nearly five months old.
On one of our first spring days out together, she saw her first flower. I was so excited to show her beautiful things, so I took her to a patch of tulips in my yard sticking up from the dead grass and leaves. She was amazed! She sniffed it up and down and as I sat back and watched my baby explore nature, she promptly bit off my flower and shook it dead. Little did I know, this was an omen than I had raised a garden pest!
As spring progressed, Billie and I started gardening. I love doing everything with Billie, she is a riot! I decided to put flowers in pots- Billie decided to dig the flowers back out of the pots! While I weeded, she scattered mulch into the grass. While I pruned, she picked flowers. Our gardening adventures turned into A slap-stick comedy show only lacking one of us slipping on a banana peel.
Some gardeners have to watch for bunnies, others have to watch for bugs..... I have to watch for the Notorious Menace.... Billie Bumbler.

My mom and I got a good chuckle out of Billie Bumbler "helping" you in the garden. Billie is just so cute! Mom and I wish we could meet both of you. But we are glad to have the connection we do. And mom and I agree, we too love doing everything together!!
Enjoy your summer!

oh what a sweet little girl! looking forward to hearing more about her in the future! :)
I just ADORE her colouring, and especially the squinty-eyed picture of her!
Billie is adorable!! I have a container garden and both Beckett & Meadow like to "help" by picking/eating all the tomatoes off the plants. :-)
such a funny story, I can just picture her 'helping' you... I know she is just as sweet as her picture and definately a 'mama's girl'!!
Oh she is gorgeous! My piebald dapple, Beau Beaux has a crush on her. :-)
How funny! Every gardener should be so lucky as to have a Notorious Menace like her. :)
She is so pretty!!
Must be the breed- mine ate the leaves off all my pepper plants. I have some lovely stalks in the pots though!!
I truly enjoyed reading about your gardening fun. I agree that having the help of your dachshund side kick is like having help from a demolition crew. My guy likes to help in the yard also. You can see him at http://jackpdiddy.blogspot.com/

As Billie's Mum, I got to say thanks guys! And Ben, She makes that squinty face right after I say "Hey You! Spit out that WORM!"
She is quite possibly the most adorable doxie I've EVER seen! :) (and that includes my doggie)
