I'm very happy to report that Dulcinea has fully recovered and back to normal! She started showing improvement right on Thanksgiving, which although isn't celebrated by Chileans, made me especially thankful. Turns out she had a bad case of gastritis from eating something she shouldn't have. We don't know what that something was, but boy are we gonna watch her even more closely from now on.
I found her x-rays to be so cute that I snapped a pic while we were at the vet. Are the not the cutest thing ever??? I love her belly in the x-ray on the right.
Christian, Dulcinea and I want to thank all of you for your concern, well wishes and advice. I made sure to take note of your suggestions to make sure we could rule out other possibilities. Now she is back to normal, eating her bone, giving kisses and running around the apartment like a little loca.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It's so good to read such good news. I'm happy for Dulcinea. I like the x-ray film too. I imagine that my doxies's bones looks the same. It's interesting. Never saw it.
Hope Dulcinea will never eat again something that can hurt her.
All the best.
Wonderful news! I hate those scares...
Oh thank goodness! Emma will be so excited when I tell her!
That's great news! So glad to hear that she's doing o.k.
So glad to hear Dulcinea has recovered!
Yay! I'm glad she's better now.
My black and tan Gracie had the same thing. We went through a couple rounds of it and she is fine. I remember I tried to start watching her close to try to prevent it but it still happened anyway. They somehow find things that I think human eyes can't see. Oh the joys of puppyhood!! Glad she is feeling better.
Coco and I are so relieved to hear that Dulcinea is ok! Hugz
