[Thanks to Douglas who sent in this wonderful story about his dachshund, Angel. We can all totally relate and we're really feeling the love :]


We got her in 2003 when she was 6 weeks old and she's been our pride and joy ever since. Angel lives with my parents while I am taking care of my very-ill grandfather in another town.

I do come up and stay at my parents' house for a couple of days when I have some time off and Angel loves to spend time with me. She hates it when I leave the house. :(

She loves getting her 4 rawhide chewbones and drive me crazy by barking at me to throw them, she pushes them under my desk and dresser with her nose and then barks at me to get them for her, and she loves getting on the top of my back to lay down and chew her bone while I am laying down on my stomach.

The best thing about her is that when I am in my bedroom, she likes to be on my bed and snuggle up right beside me and goes right to sleep. When I am sleeping on my side, she snuggles up against my back and sleeps against me. When I am not at home, which is most of the time, she sleeps right between my mom and dad under the covers where it's nice and warm for her. Also, she loves to give kisses and loves to be kissed and held.

She is the love of our life and of course, my mom spoils her to death. :)
