Family Pictures - Part 1

At the end of October, we met up with a local gringa photographer here in Santiago for a family picture session. We decided to go to one of the coolest parks around, El Parque Bicentenario in Viticura. When you go to this park, you almost forget you are in the city. It has such a beautiful vista (view) of the Andes Mountains. Not only that, but it has a special section of the park dedicated to dogs, complete with an obstacle course. We didn't take any pictures of the obstacle course during our session, so I'll have to post about that some other time.

It was actually a lot harder than we thought it would be to get Dulcinea to look at the camera or even to get all three of us looking at the same time. Dulcinea was almost always looking off to the side. She is still distracted by any little noise or movement when we are outside.

We definitely wanted some candid shots in addition to the close-ups and we did plenty of running and playing with Dulcinea. Here is one of the best candids of the day:

Look at those ears! I think this picture is awesome...both Dulcinea and Christian are catching air!

Another favorite is the one we went out with our Thanksgiving email to friends and family:

I really enjoyed the photo shoot and hopefully we'll be able to do another one next year. More faves from our session to come soon!

Such cute pics. I love the one of Dulcinea "flying". I can't get Riley to look at the camera, and Gus actually barked the last time I pointed it at him. Crazy hounds!

In the second pic, are they about to jump into a pool? Does she swim?

Inquiring minds need to know.

No, I wish it were a pool, that would make the pictures even more exciting! It is just a different color painted on the ground.
