I've never been one for Christmas. Ok, fine. I hate Christmas. So much hassle ... so much harassment ... the songs ... the commercials ... NO!!! I'd prefer to find a bunker or a foreign country to go to from October to January. Hate. Sorry, Christmas fans. You can love it. But Scrooge here can't.
One thing I do love, though, is showing off my dogs, and what better way to do that than with a cutesy holiday card? I really can't remember why I had this bright idea one day, but ever since I got Napoleon, I've sent cards out. Yes, you can call me a hypocrite if you want.
Here was 2004's. The Great Dane is Brooklyn and she belonged to my roommate and BFF Amy. Napoleon loved her from the minute he saw her - if you can't tell. RIP Brooklyn - you were the best.
Next year I used a picture Amy took of Napoleon in the Texas bluebonnets - a photo tradition down here! This picture has become legend. Even my vet still mentions getting this particular card.
By 2006 we had Thor, so I guess this called for bandannas and a few more pictures.
The next year, we had added Fred, and I'd gotten a DSLR camera, so I had a little fun with a posed pic and outfits from the dollar bin at Target.
That picture actually ended up in a book!
Last year I thought, fake snow? Great idea!
This year, I didn't plan to do a card. I didn't have any ideas and plus it can get costly. But then, inspiration struck, so yes, there is a 2009 card from Fat Frank's Home for Wayward Wieners. You'll have to wait for my next post to see it!

Oh my god! Oh my god!
SMILING PUPPY IN FLOWERS!
BEST THING EVER!
I'm glad I am not the only one with a weiner who smiles. I love that picture.
Trying to get my 3 to sit still, at the same time, and take a picture is impossible. Probably because a cat would have to join in and cause trouble.
OMG these are awesome!!! How did the second to last picture end up in that book? How cool!
We have been sending out e-cards from Chile because normal postage would cost us a fortune. I am hoping to get a good shot of Dulcinea with some reindeer antlers that I found for dogs...but if that doesn't happen, we plan to use one of our family pictures that we recently took for the cards.
I can't wait to see what you have in store for 2009!
Courtney, I like Christmas almost as much as you do. I sure love your photography, though. You have a real eye for it, and your subjects are adorable!
All of those cards are fantastic, but the one of Napoleon in the blue bonnets totally stole the show. Great pic!
