Dear Crasher Squirrel,

We've noticed you all over the news lately, popping up around the internet in celebrity and historic photos. Yes, maybe we smiled a little when we saw you appear in that couple's vacation picture, but enough already. We, the dogs of Who's Your Dachshund?, are mounting a protest.

Crasher Squirrel, remember your place on the food chain. Dachshunds hunt rodents like you and are therefore superior in every way, including in cuteness and random photo ops. So, we're holding a contest on this site to prove just how funny and adorable we are. From now until August 30 at midnight ET, the loyal fans of this site are invited to right this wrong by submitting Crasher Doxie pictures of their own. Tofu dog has even come forward and given permission to use his likeness as seen below. If you've got mad Photoshop skills and a doxie picture of your own feel free to use that but Tofu's cutout is here in case you need it.



Submit your entries to whosyourdachshund [at] gmail [dot] com or on Twitter (check out the hashtag #crasherdoxie) and we'll post them here on our site. The winner (to be judged by the esteemed WYD bloggers) will be announced August 31 and awarded a fabulous prize befitting a smart and talented loyal fan. All others will instantly win second place in the contest which doesn't come with a prize unless you count (like we do) the self-satisfaction of knowing you've come forward in the name of dachshunds all around the world during this cuteness crisis.
